I test drove an RX8 at the mazda rev it up and was fairly disappointed. The clutch was like an on/off switch (about 2" from disengaged to engaged). The power was decent at first, I knew I would have to rev the rotary, but after 5k it was just a flat power band. It really needs a turbo! There wasn't any rush or anything. It handled pretty good, but pushes at the limit. I did bark the tires pretty good going into 2nd though (no lift to shift

huh? i've got about 3/4" from engaged to disengaged. i consider it a good thing. remove the clutch fluid resevoir/accumulator thingy replace with braided stainless line, remove slave cyl restrictor.
