What do you guys think? it wasnt overheating. it was just running a bit hot at the slower speeds this time and would cool down when i cruise at higher speeds. right now i dont have a thermostat in.
The coolant drain goes where? post a picture. My old coolant drain went down to the hard line that ran along the front of the block, then to the oil filter housing.

Tom, as I stated before..that overflow tank needs a tube down into it, so when the car is shut off and the car cools down, it has a way to suck the fluid it previously spit into the tank back into the engine. If you don't have that recirc tube, you'll just end up filling and filling the can, and the car will then be empty.

This also. I would just go buy a new coolant overflow tank from mitsu. I think they wanted like $70 for one last time I checked though.
