Every time they came out with a plan for heathcare it was completely ripped apart for insane reasons. Not because it was a bad plan but because republicans had nothing to do but squeal about every little piece.
So its like Bill Maher said, "Obama got fed up and said kiss my black ass we are going about it George W bush style" It was the only way it was going to pass. And it did thankfully. now they have the Fix bill that tightens the overhaul up.
do you realise how much money was being spent while all of the bickering was going back and forth? A LOT. Way too much.
Things are not more closed off than the past 8 years under bush. That was some closed off shit. Im just glad they passed something regardless of how unpopular it was. People will bitch and complain about it but 10 years from now people will see it as the norm and the republicans will even be defending it, like medicare was.
I think it speaks volumes that the democrats passed the bill regardless of how it would make them look come reelection time. Lets see some republicans do that. NOT A CHANCE.
Edit: Also what the closed door plan does is not allow lobbyists to get their say in there. which is a huge problem in washington right now, lobbyists from corperate greedy bastard companies watering down everything that comes through.
