The aluminum strip is 3/16" thick and tomorrow I will add spacers to hold the sub frame tight up to the body mount. The stock unit is 1/16" steel and just has what looks like a big washer welded to it to make it as big as the sub frame. But the stock unit tightens down on the center sleave thus not making contact with the sub frame itself.
