haha you left a few things out... if your just replacing the rings the method above works fine...but if your gonna replace the bearings also(main and rod) you have a bit more of a haul ahead of you. You have to unbolt the rod's(put the crank at bottom dead center before unbolting) push the #1 psiton out and #4 because there companion cylinders. Then you have to unbolt the main cap's theres 5 of them total (there are two webed together). once your done with that then the cleaning procces begins...if your lucky like me you have a dishwasher at school and you can let it spin in there and it will come out nice and clean! (man that thing works wonders!) once your this far dont give up like most people I know do...........start puting things back together...fisrt the main bearing's, and the front and rear seals. obviously your going to have to put only the top half in. oil them with your best friend the oil can. Next the crank needs to go in. slowly ease this peice in, and if it doesnt slide in nicely you have a problem somewhere. once thats in. you need to put the rest of the main bearing's in the main cap's. the single cap is the thrust bearing that bearing is the one thats different looking then all the others(it has side's on it). then you have to plastiguage... next your must put assembly lube...lots of it too doesnt hurt.once you've done that tighten to the specified torque. then your going to take a rubber hammer or a copper hammer and slightly hit the ends of the crank back and forth to set the crank in the right spot...........man theres way to much to explain and i missed a few things ...just pm me if you want to know more lol...
