Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI Project

Its already apart. While the orders are coming in for the rod and piston and the head is being cleaned up, i will be replacing the other rod bearings, with the new set i got from map at the beginning of this whole ordeal, retorquing the rod caps, checking torque on the rest of the bottom end, oil cover and everything on the timing belt side. Cleaning the oil pan thoroughly along with the oil screen etc. new filter all new fluids for the tranny and transfer case as well as the rear diff. Then when i put everything back together i will be torqueing everything to my spec. Cleaning up what needs to be clean.
Also i will be working on the interior a lot. The headliner needs to come down and be redone, the seats will be repaired, carpets cleaned thoroughly etc.

Question: The car doesnt have a spare tire, and doesnt have the cover for the spare tire. Can i just cut the big hump in the back there out and sheet metal over it, or is there something on the other side of the hump. Ill check it before i do it but just wondering if there is something i should be watching out for?
