91 and E85 tunes
This Evo made 386 whp on 91 with the MAF, which already broke the standing BBK Full 91 oct record on our dyno (was 369). I took off the MAF, put a straight cone filter on and went to tuning the car on Speed Density. To my amazement the car responded really well to the SD conversion.
+17 whp peak gains to make
403 whp on
straight California 91 oct. This is usually reserved for 35R+ turbos on our dyno. Now, a 100% stock looking turbo accomplishes this task.
403 whp / 330 wtq
24 psi
Next was E85 and it made a very healthy
455 whp at only 27 psi (car is tracked)
For reference:
Highest power on a Evo 9 stock turbo so far on our dyno is 403 whp / 402wtq (E85). This had the car doing a 11.4@120 mph, full weight, street tires, 300lb driver.
320-330whp will do 11.9-12.0 @ 115ish with a really good driver, full weight Evo.
