I've seen a car do that in person, when I was about 10. The driver fell asleep in his truck, veered off the road about 50 feet in front of us into the ditch right before a sub-station, and went up the side of the access road and flew through the air as we drove by the other direction. Both guys lived but had huge bruises across their chests, lucky they were wearing seat belts.
