Yeah, at these power levels, the trans case actually starts flexing, causing the gears from the counter shaft and input shaft to pull away from each other. Now the gear contact is on a weaker part of the tooth. Its why I shimmed up my counter shaft and input shaft up tighter to help prevent this, but does put more load on the bearings obviously.
