I honestly can't believe this thread is still going. I went without a front plate on differrent cars for about six years and only recieved a ticket on the ugly ass white one with a big wing on it. You know what, I accepted it and didn't argue for a few reasons, they were right to give me a ticket, it is a law and I broke it. Also, If I was a cop, I would be more apt to want to check out someone that looked like they thought there car was a "race car" for obvious reasons. Is that really a big surprise? If you are not breaking the law, you wont get tickets, you might get checked, but that should be the end of it.
As far as cops go, I was pretty glad they were around when they found my mom flipped over in her car in a ditch last year at 5AM and called us. Because they got to her, she is fine now, otherwise she wouldn't be here. I have had them haul my step daughter to the hospital when she was trying to kill herself with overdosing in the house then freaking out on everyone with a knife. One of my friends in WA was saved by cops when a psycho was shooting everyone in front of him, he managed to kill seven people before the cops got him, but is should have been worse. The list goes on, they are in danger every day and they do it with very little appreciation from the people they are helping. People that whine about getting tickets while they are doing things that look suspicious or are in an area where there is a lot of illegal activity going on really should step back and take a look at it. If you were the cop, you don't know the punk in the car or what he is up to or might have with him, all you can go by is how he looks and where he is. I would pull most of my friends over based on that as well. That isn't to say all cops are perfect, but saying they are all bad is just as predudiced as you are claiming them to be.
