The most attractive thing about these for evo owners is the price. THe 4G63 evo core is EXPENSIVE to replace if you blow a hole through the block. Getting 7-bolt 4G64 thats suitable is cheap...buschur is selling their 2.1's for like $4k even, no core required (standard core for evo block is like $1800, and $700 for the crank). That is a freaking sweet deal if you make some windows with your rods.

These are not new though, idk what's stopped people from using them more before now. AMS has used them in their drag car for a few years, and I know QPR was building one back in the day. Perhaps its the custom rod length? Stock is 150mm (I think) so they're a tish longer for this setup.

MAP, you should offer these in your evo lineup I LOVE my stock motor, but should something happen to it...these look tempting for all the right reasons.
We're building a few of them for stock actually, but 6 bolt applications 7 Bolt is actually easier as Manley does make the 156mm rod for them still. I guess I'm not familiar with the differences between water pumps and such though, but it makes sense since the block is out of an early 200X Eclipse I believe...
