right after i lost my health care cause i got laid off, i had a choice, pay close to 700 a month for health care or go with none at all.

well i had a kidney stone a few weeks later, guess what, worst pain in my life so i went to the hospital, i could barely move, now i have a 6000 dollar medical bill hanging over my head, and still no job.

what a great way to start things out when i finally do get a job

currently im looking at going back to ups due to lack of options, that gives me enough money to pay for all my rent except 100 bucks, not including any other bills and food, or the huge medical bill i now have.

to me it seems like if you have a job, yay go you, if you dont, your just getting pushed further and further into the gutter by the current system
Exactly, I had gotten a job 3 days before I had my biking accident 2 months ago. The fucking ambulance ride cost $1349.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RIDICULOUS!!!! They probably drove me like 15 miles from where I was to Methodist hospital. Why the hell should something like that cost so damn much? I already have outrageous, beyond outrageous student loan payments for what money I make now, add some medical bills and KABOOM!!! I have to live with my parents now so I can barely scrape by.

Like I said before, this whole great debate in the end is just for the mere fact of reducing costs and getting everyone covered.

And I know I posted my dumb choice of booze + biking on the 4th of July, but it will not serve as ammo towards me and my medical bills I have. I simply don't have insurance, because I simply can't afford it. This kind of accident, not necessarily biking, but getting hurt seriously and needing an ambulance ride and what not can happen to anyone, and they shouldn't have to file for bankruptcy for an injury or illness. That just isn't right, and anyone that disagrees with that is just simply outright ignorant.
