Ok, First off say it was a blown gasket. (the judge will have no idea what it really was and I doubt the officer will show up or have notes on this particularly small of a thing)

That way you don't need a BS repair write up. Tell them you fixed it yourself.

Play it off like it's a fix it ticket. And it'll get dropped. But make sure you start off saying that you were told to show it to someone. (ie: as if you thought you were suppsed to get it looked at. While you are at the Coart house) The judge will straight up look at you and ask is it fixed and he'll make a judgement based on your reply. So I do suggest you put your exhaust back on or fix the problem. that way when you reply you'll be honest.

I did this for 7 of my 8 no-front license plate tickets. The first one I didn't know it was a fix it ticket so I just paid (which by the way showed up on my driving report as a Minor Moving violation and does go against your insurance)

The others were dropped completely - no coart fee, no fine, no nothing. But the key to it is to be able to back up your bluff.

When you go make sure you have a full Exhaust. Not just a Downpipe attached.

That way if they descide they want to check (won't happen do to lazyness on there part) you can show them. Point out the gasket that was blown (ie: pick one) and say see I fixed it. - I doubt it'll go any farther then that. (if it even gets that far)
