subaru's were meant to be crashed

rolled the car 3 times at nemadji trail 3. I carried a lot more speed through the first few corners than we did at nemadji 1 or 2 and I didn't set-up for this corner accordingly - I set-up about 10ft too late and the right rear tire hooked the soft sand that built up as the cars ahead of us went through. with our n/a engine I didn't have enough torque to pull back out of the sand and it dropped us into the ditch sideways at 65+ mph. Car is actually in pretty good shape for being flipped 3 times over a distance of around 100 ft. We will have it repaired for Ojibwe. Both the co-driver and myself came out relative unscathed (Dave bruised his ribs badly) and I smashed my knee into the steering column. We both took a lot of glass to the hands.

In the video you can see my arm come out - I'm reaching for the shifter to downshift because I realized the sand was pulling us to the outside but by then we were already airborn. Next you will see Dave's arm come up to cover his face since all the glass around him broke.

Utech also rolled at this rally and another car took a tree in the passenger's side so it was a pretty bad day all-in-all. At least no one was hurt.

maybe now it's time to make my gvr4 into a rally car?
