Well I am finally at the point of putting the new timing belt on. So far I have kept every timing mark aligned the best I could. The oil pump gear will not align when installing the new belt though. The mark is falling between two sprokets so its either over/under by a tooth.
I tested the pump by putting the mark@ 12 O'clock and it rotated counter clock wise like it should, so thats right. I did not remove the gear/plate, no reason to. Any advince/insight is appreciated.
