The problem is you have systematically elimated problems and once you've checked it off you haven't went back and rechecked it.

The cam degreeing was off, was it hurting power? Who knows, compare the poweband charts I guess.

The inproper grounding was bad for the car. Was it the only problem? Obviously not...but I guarantee the car needs its grounds.

If the wiring was the problem the entire time it could of masked a bad cop setup as well. Were the ignition coils you swapped in good? I know the map and aems have been swapped also. I know that one time we found 1 coil not making contact all the way with the plug when street tuning.
Have the ignition signal wires been traced from the AEM to the msd? How about to the coils?

The engine is in 100% perfect health? Then it is a wiring or electrical (ignition) issue.
