Re: Timing Belt? ?

Things that are good to replace when you are there:

Timing belt
Idler pully
Tensioner pully
Hydraulic Tensioner
Water pump
Balance shaft belt
Balance shaft belt tensioner

Cams seals if they are leaking, and crank end seal if they are leaking. Those items add quite a bit to the job and shouldn't be needed unless you have a leak.

The job isn't to terribly bad but quite daunting if you haven't done it ever.

Stick with a belt that is OEM, Kevlar, or proven. Stay away from the Ebay stuff, like Jet said, I've seen them go quite early.

1g block=1g parts. All the parts will be bolting to the 6 bolt items. The 7 bolt head means that your intake/exhaust/thermostat housing gaskets and bits need to match a 2g, everything else lower end is 1g.
