Also, the components are an analog signal, so you have signal loss and ghosting issues, unlike HDMI. Recent TV's will have HDMI 1.3 connections which have quite a few upgrades from previous versions. Also, in his case he is using a PS3 as a blu-ray player. The PS3 will not upconvert using component output, only HDMI, so it is obvious what he should use for the PS3.
