I feed my journal bearing turbo off the filter housing, no balance shafts, no porting of the relief valve. I do have the red FP inline -4an filter with the .1 orifice meant for journal bearing turbos, but I only have like 5k miles on it so far. FP told me to check the filter element every 2 or 3 oil changes, I planned on checking it in the next 1k miles. I ordered a few extra filter elements but lost them, luckily they are cheap.

Oh, mine is water cooled as well. And I have no engine oil cooler.
