Turbo problems
Hey everyone, I took off my turbo tonight because somehow the threads got messed up on my turbo. That caused the bolt to get loose and the gasket is basically disintegrated now.
I really have no idea how this happened, yea the bolt got loose because it backed out (bad lock washer), but now that the turbo is off, the bolt actually will slide right through the hole in the turbo, but it still looks threaded inside... how does this happen?
Anyway now that it's off I was just going to retap the threads and use a new gasket, but noticed that the exhaust housing looks cracked. It looks like it's just on the surface, but who knows. Should I spend the money to ship it to FP and have them check it out while it's there? Any ideas on how much they take to look at a turbo even?
