Dont half ass it like this... Find the real problem instead of putting a band-aid on it.

This is the exact reason why dsm's get the name they have today and are unreliable.

Check fluid
Make sure its bled correctly
Check the adjustment rod on the pedal
Check master/slave
Make sure transmission is fully flush with block
Check clutch fork and pivot (fulcrum) ball
Check Throw out bearing

If you say there is no pedal pressure until almost on the floor it sounds like it wasnt bled properly. Either that or out of fluid, bad master or slave cylinder, or the adjustment rod is not adjusted correctly.
