I don't want to sound harsh, but you definitely could have generated some more revenue for the event had you allowed "competing sponsors" as you put it, as we definitely would have paid for some space on Sunday and donated some product/merchandise for prizes. Having a performance focused car show and only allowing one performance shop to sponsor the event just doesn't make sense, and I don't even think the other shop had a display set up on Sunday?
Also, you could have had at least one more car registered if you allowed "mitsubishi powered" vehicles in the other category
