I say that it depends where you are located. Sure in the more largely populated areas like the Twin Cities, Des Moines, etc.... as a whole everybody and his/her brother is going to be fairly informed about the sport compact era that has come before the automotive world. When you get into the smaller areas like my hometown Decorah up in NE Iowa, the presence of a truly sleeper sport compact, specifically a DSM, is relatively unbenounced. Granted there are those sleepers here and there but they are in no way making their presence known in the smaller towns like they are in the larger areas. Sure the populations are different bla bla bla, but on a smaller scale the sport compacts are still evolving in the more rural areas. It doesn't help that movies like FnF2 come out and protray the sport compact world as total rice with fart can mufflers, eight foot tall wings, and type-r racing stickers leaving the more rural areas basically unexposed to the true sleepers that are out there since after these years of "sport compact evolvement," they are still relatively unknown.
