AMEN to both Erik and Mike.
Lemme break it down for you Jack. Give you a bit of a history lesson. I bought a 97 GST back in '99. A ricer in heart, a true blue big wing loving american. If you where at the all Mitsu cookout where some poor shmuck got a ricer award due to his sweet looking tires with red stripes in them... Yup that was me. Shortly after I bought the domain and made a small personal site. I became involved with 1 person mainly (Brian Barton - Slow White) and with his help became involved with others on this board I am extremely greatfull to still have tight friendships with today. Over the next few years I started to change over DSMStyle.com as a web based forum for DSMers to hang out with the help of those friends it grew. And it grew to be a small little site to what it is today. One of the biggest sites in this area (MN Based) and we really on't cater to DSMs.
Before we get to where we are today and before I even became involved with the shop known as QPR I invited Elite on the site. Mo and Shane have always bent over backwards for DSMers. Also Cher during his employment there and now Tyler. And it's not just DSMs they work on. They do it all. And have proven it many many times over. SLS is a repeat. Nick helps when he can. He isn't afraid to jump into something and get his hand dirty, even if it is on an Auto in the parking lot at BW at the SO. He has some great parts and deals and cover another section of the midwest for us, while still remaining close to home. Now 3 years of having ther site up and running I finally get a chance to do something I have always wanted to do. Get involved with a business. Hell why not. I have the background in sales and business management and thus the part I play in it. I can tear a motor down the proper way, but I promise I won't touch it in the rebuild process. lol. Your all safer that way. :-) So it was only natural I add QPR in the mix with SLS and Elite.
Now am I all about greed and shit. Nope, otherwise I wouldn't refer people to Elite and SLS. Nor would I have them on a site I own. When it boils down to it I can mix business and the site just fine. They are seperate from one another. Elite and SLS will always have a home here as long as they want to.
So how dare you come to and say I made this site to gain business. I don't care who you are or how many years you have into Mitsus. I have never heard of you up until this and that's why I didn't open my arms to your business. I wanted to know the people I put in view of our members.
That brings me to the end of my story and I hope I didn't fry your brian with my amazing spelling skills.
Oh yeah, Welcome to DSMStyle.com.
