I think in order to build your name back up you need to always be available to people so nobody is left wondering. If they call you, call them right back, if you say you'll call back tomorrow, call back later that same day, if you say it'll be done in a week, get it done in 5 days, etc. In order to build your name back up not only will you have to meet customer expectations, you will have to go above and beyond them.
