To be frank, this IS a message board for DSM enthusiasts, NOT a huge banner for advertising certain companies over others. This site has been around for many years and has undergone a few changes as of late. The forum with the shops were added only a few months ago to aid in the regular guys search for performance parts and services from places that are known to give reliable service and good prices.

And as for your number one in your last post, here's a direct quote from above, "And why should i stick around if i can't post my offerings? Seems like i would only be helping my competition. " That sounds to me like you are only here to sell. I understand you have a business and everyone wants their business to thrive. But coming on here your first day and pushing your services onto the site is not the way to do it. Gain the trust and respect of the members and they will come to you if your services are what you claim they are. I don't know you personally so I can't say one way or the other what kind of a person or business man you are. But if your work is anything like the way you started here, you seem to jump into things before looking at the big picture and doing a little research.

With that being said, if you do decide to stay here, win over your customers with your knowledge and expertise. I know that's what Elite has done and so have the members of QPR and SLS. The members of Elite have been involved with these guys for much longer than this site has been in existance. It's like Allan said, if you want to have a section on here, you are going to have to sell him on "why". He doesn't just put up anyones shops unless they can prove that they are a valuable asset. Whether it be prices or knowledge. Just remember, low prices are not ALL what people are looking for. It's like the motto for my father's old shop "We stock many parts but only one product, service". That was the reason why his business grew so much.

I'm not telling you how to run your business. It's just you need to look a little deeper than just the front page to see why things are the way that they are around here. If you have as solid of a reputation for good, honest service as you claim, then you should have no problem winning over any business as long as you go about it in the right manner. Don't go around cutting down other shops and members reputations to gain that business. Just remember, most of the people on this site have known each other for a good amount of years so it's tough to break in and try to pull any of them your way. Just be patient and if you are what you say you are, they will check you out as well.

I don't push one shop over another so i won't say which of the shops on here is the best. Each of them have a quality that sets them apart from the rest. Whether it be their ability to fabricate and weld, or their ability to tune or whatnot. Each has a strength that they can offer to the members that the other might not. Just giving low prices is not going to set you apart from the rest. Hell, with enough research I'm sure if you had the lowest prices, I could find them elsewhere cheaper. So don't wave the "lowest prices around" flag here. It don't fly well. You have to back it up with some proof that you are really here to help and not just make a buck off of the members.

Now, with that being said, I will get off of my soapbox and prepare my flameproof suit.
