Re: How much is 40k a year?
40k a year is not that much if you are the only one bringing in money for a family, but if its combined, then who knows. It also all depends, like everyone is saying, how you want to live. I can say, since I work as a NA and I am going to school to be a nurse, that there is a LOT of opportunity in the medical field and if you want to make more that 40k a year it will be easy by just doing overtime and picking up shifts. It may be different for radiology, but I get huge incentives for picking up shifts, coming in on weekends and for pulling doubles. There is also a lot to do in the medical field and a lot of opportunities so that you wont ever get bored with your job. Chances are if you go to a hospital with a 2 year, work there for a while and tell them you want to expand your education that they will pay in full or at least a good portion for you to go back to school.
So with that said, although 40k is not that much it is good to begin with, I know you will be able to make more if you have the drive too. Also if it is more than you are making now, that’s always good. You are still young and have a lot of time to make more money. I think you would like the job, you get to meet a lot of interesting people and have a chance to potentially help change a persons life, which you don’t get to do in every job.
