All you do it turn the crank pully a little bit till the splines line up and voila.

That wasn't the issue, the inside disc wasn't lined up in the center of the clutch, it was off to the side 1/2" so the tranny wouldn't go on at all. This little plastic piece lines up with the splines and goes into the center of the flywheel to keep it centered.
