Ummmm... Maybe because the rod bearings were toast. I really hope you were kidding when made that statement. Seriously, either motor is a great option, and each has thier own advantages and disadvantages. You just have to look at what you want to do with the car. If you want to try and run 11's with 28 lbs. of boost, then the KA would be a better choice. With the right piston/rod combo, I'm sure it could handle some decent boost. Plus you get a stronger iron block and more displacement. If you don't want to go through all that work, aren't worried about running 2 bars, and are just looking for a straight drop in, with proven reliability, and good aftermarket support. Then the SR or CA is probably for you. You can make other arguments about weight, power band, and other stuff but, like I said, either one is a great option.
