Well if it doesnt disengage, there is an issue with the clutch master/slave/fork/TOB.
Seeing you are staying the fingers are "stuck" in. Well "in" is disengaged.
When installing, the fingers should be damn near straight. To disengage it, you need to push the fingers towards the clutch disk/flywheel.
