Letting the DSMs Go.

In '98 I bought my DSM. I found out I was the second owner and I was just excited to have a newer car. (only a 91) Sometime soon after this I figured out I could actually make it quick. And then the obsession began. Over the years it became the only thing I would dump money into and it was always first on the list. Now I have a house, boat and Lady to compete with for DSM time/money. I find myself not going to all the DSM sites or obsessing as much as I used to. I was 18 when I bought the car, I am 27 now... maybe I'm just getting too old?

For the people that were into this for years and got out, how did you know it was time? How did you feel when you watched your years of obsession drive away with someone else at the wheel?
