You can get a single hose hookah for like $50 I believe. Coals are $13, a lid is like $20 so teh coal doesn't fall off the top ( highly recommend it becasue it's burnt through lots of carpets and you don't want to grab it when it's hot ). :-)
$90 for a 4 hose is a very good price. I got mine a few years back for $60, I prefer the single hose kind. Not that hard to pass a hose between a few friends, gives you a break between a few smokes anyway. I'd stick with a single hose, unless you plan on having big parties where tons of people smoke it. Also, don't get a pipe that is stamped metal, go with one that has some mass, they smoke much better. The only thing you'll need to replace from time to time is the hose, after a year of smoking they get a little nasty because they retain some residue from the smoke. Oh, and the bowl, I'd stick with the clay ones that are like the stoneware dishes. My friend got a new porcelain one and it didn't work out well.

$13/can, damn that's spendy. The Holy Land grocery store in NorthEast (central and lowry) has tons of stuff from $6-$10 per 250g. And I got two bags of coals there for $7. They also sell quality hookahs and hoses there for good prices.

I'd advise against buying a hookah online, another friend got one from hookahhub and it smokes like shit. There is no air flow, feels like a huge restriction so you have to suck hard to get any smoke. Like a .5" intake on a car.
