Personally, I'd pay the price for a good tranny rebuild. The difference in feel between a home garage, generic tranny shop, and DSM tranny specialist is huge.

^I'm agree. I did alot of research on these before spending over 1500 for a transmission, from the sounds of it, these are a really confusing transmission. They are for a DSM. If you don't bow to it and worship it in the special little way a DSM wants it will take a dump right on your pretty white shoes. You can save a little $$$ by installing/taking out by doing it with you and a few buddys, my mom helped me drop mine! 2 buddys helped put it in!
