Re: Bypassing the clutch switch...

Vicious- Mine is the same way, It wouldnt work without the plug in, before all of this i was able to start it without the clutch but now i cant, the clutch needs to be in. oh well...
Tim- The car came with the alarm so i dont know
Thor- Seriously dude, you need to go back to third grade and learn how to read.

And finally....

After 6 hours of tracing wires checking continuity and voltage, taking my starter out and bringing it to kragen to have it tested, cleaning up wires and drinking lots of coffee... my dsm is running again!
It turned out to be the relay that i had just replaced. For some reason it wasnt passing the proper amount of voltage through, so i disconnected it and just soldered the wires that went to each other and the starter clicked, which was music to my ears, but the car didnt start, so we jumped it again and still nothing, but then.... i pushed in the clutch and she started right up.
There were several things wrong with the wiring in this car.
there were a bunch of wires that were spliced into the ecu wires which were going to nothing at all just cut on the ends so i removed them. Then i found that i had accidentally pinched the remote wire for the starter between the tranny and the motor mount, so i repaired that. i accidentally put a fuse in the wrong hole when this initally happened, so i put one in. (found that when i was checking the continuity) then finally it was the relay not passing the proper amount of voltage which made it all work.
Whats crazy is a week before this mess happened i was talking to someone that was having electrical issues and telling them how i wish i had electrical issues instead of the ones i was having with the motor and tranny and coolent, but i am gonna have to retract my previous statement, FUCK electrical problems, they suck.
