Yep, you drop it out the bottom on the passenger side. You don't need to remove any motor mounts except the tranny mount, I always remove the entire thing, it's easier. Plus you need to undo the two bolts that hold the carrier bearing on the driver's side axle, they attach to the block via the AC bracket. That will free up the axle enough to move around when you put the tranny back on as well. Drop the transfer case and let the driveshaft hang down or tie it up to the p/s rack. Don't forget about the little 12mm head bolt behind the xfer case, it's one of the tranny bolts. Pull the tranny out about six inches while tilting it slightly downward, it's a tight fit but it will clear.
