Re: Just my stupid ass luck...

Ok so i got the tranny out.
Im really thinking that the transmission gears are fine. when i opened the smaller cover (not sure what it was but its on the end of the tranny.) and the gears look perfect, not a scratch on them.
I managed to pry the big cover up a little and there is just a minor scrach in one of the gears, but nothing too major.
The fluid from the tranny looked pretty clear, there was a full 3 quarts and it wasnt clumpy or anything but im positive there is a problem with the thing that engages the gears. (? shift fork). when i shake the tranny a little i can hear a rattle like a peice broke off and is rolling around in there.
So i am gonna take the transmission to a repair shop and see if they can fix it. I know the tranny is relativly new so im not gonna send it to shep just yet. But i am hoping that a transmission shop will fix it for relativly cheap being that the tranny is already out of the car and it shouldnt need any gears. Im gonna prolly have to take a day off so that i can watch them take it apart and make sure they only fix what needs to be fixed. (really dont feel like getting screwed in the ass)
The flywheel has some pretty deep scratches in it so i may end up getting that resurfaced.
