The g4cs 6 bolt found in hyundia's. The 4g64 is a 6 or 7 bolt that is found in galants (I'm not sure of years on the 6 and 7 bolt 4g64's). Both blocks where manufactured by mitsubishi. The only difference is that the g4cs has a threaded boss that accepts a knock sensor. I have no direct experience with the 4g64 blocks, but I have heard that they do not have a threaded boss in the same location. I've even heard that some 4g64's require plugging of coolant passages. Again, I have no experience with 4g64's but my g4cs went flawlessly.

Basically, it sounds like there are less possible headaches with a g4cs.
