You don't want to bypass the oil sandwich cooler. Oil temp and engine temp go hand in hand, no oil cooler means more strain on the cooling system. Not to mention quicker breakdown of dino oil from 220+ temps.

It's best to use a turbo coolant pipe and run the line that normally goes to the turbo directly to the oil cooler. The other line runs straight up into the pipe by the water pump. Or you can get rid of both lines by simply running a '90 style housing and use an air cooler. Much more expensive, but braided line is always cool.
