I showed pictures of my transmission case splitting. Is it possible to replace just that section (closest to the engine block) of the transmission case? Reason I ask is because I know the internals of my tranny are in great shape...it is just the case that is screwed.

I have been trying to find a 23 spline tranny locally and not seem to be around at the moment...you guys up in the Great Lakes area have all of them I guess!
