Guy sold a 2g Talon in MN with a Salvage Title.
Looking for a guy named David Popov... He sold a friend a 2g Talon AWD and said everything was fine but it wasnt! Its a salvage title for a totalled car and it cant be an out of state sale. The guy basically screwed a friend of mine. Just wondering if anyone knew him or not??? We just want to know how the car can get registered in another state and want an answer from him!!!
Thanks guys... Jake |

Vehicle must be inspected.

Didn't the title you got say it was salvaged? What's the rest of the story? You're leaving out some pieces here.

Re: Guy sold a 2g Talon in MN with a Salvage Title.
He sold the car to a good friend of mine. We've bought cars out of state numerous times. Talked to the guy on the phone for a good ammount of time, I was told everything was in good condition except the said damage to the passanger side. We got there, to find out the electronics were hacked, leather interior destroyed, UICP cracked in half, SMIC torn clean through on the bottom, water and dirt all over the inside. They told us the salvage title would be easy to replace with a michigan once once it was inspected. The michigan secutary of state told us they cant inspect it because it's out of state and the car was labled as a total. So now we're stuck with a car that cant get registered... Sad really... Drove 739ish miles to get screwed. 1st time this has happen in the 6 plus out of state car's we've got.

So why would you buy the car if it had hacked electronics, ripped leather, Fd up UICP, and a torn SMIC? I hope he got a damn good deal.

Cause those can be fixed/repaired. Getting this car inspected and registered is going to be a bitch!

Jake said it perfectly.

You should be able to get it registered once it's inspected, regardless if it's been totalled. Check with the DMV again to know for sure. You can get different answers from different clerks, so it's good to double check again.
Of course it's going to still have a salvage title, but you should already know that regardless of what the seller told you. |
