91 TSI AWD ECU ????'s
My friend's ecu is dead. So I am trying to fing a replacement.
What is the difference between EPROM and non-EPROM? Is EPROM just easier to tune with? Is it needed to get his car going again? What is a good going rate? I have been seeing anywhere from $75 non eprom to $400 EPROM |
Re: 91 TSI AWD ECU ????'s
Average price for a good condition non-eprom ecu is $75-100. I'll have to check the few we have in inventory to see if they are good (not sure).
The eprom's go for $200-400. The eprom is a nice feature if you are going to use it as a tuning aid (socket it, and burn chips). It is not required to make a vehicle run. If his car is a 91, all 91-94 manual transmission turbo ECU's will work for him. |

Hey Thanks, when you find out if the ecu's you have in stock are good or not let me know, it will give me a reason to sneak up and see the huge new shop.

If they don't have one, I have about 15-20 non eprom ECUs.

Go with lightening, we don't have enough time right now to test one.
