XBOX 360 not up the hype?

Other sites and news spurts speculate the 360 could end up being recalled in MASS amounts.

Anyone here have one? Thoughts on the issue?

I haven't heard that yet but I think the hype thing is stupidly ridiculous. I've seen them going on ebay for $800 to over $1000. A person that spends that kind of money on game system is an idiot! Why someone needs something right away when they first come out is beyond me. They're not making a limited number of them. Just wait till the f'ers are more plentiful. It was the same shit when the Song PSP came out.

I don't think I would buy it for $10. I would never have time to use it and it is something that pretty much becomes obsolete when the next big system comes out.

.... I will sue because of some small problems the company will work out. I lost gaming time because it overheated, now I will sue for damages. wtf, It is just a game, I will never understand.

On the news there was something about Best Buy having a class action suit against them about the x box. The had a bait and switch at some places. Best Buy said they would have 20 of them for $400. People waited in line all night to get them and they had to buy the bundle for more that came with extra accessories they didn't need.

I don't see anything that it has thats a ton better than the old one. Yeah the graphics are great but so is the older version. And yeah for that price, fuck that! I will wait until the Xbox I have burns up before I get a new one. I don't even play my PS2 anymore since I got an Xbox from Nash.

My bro had two, sold one on e-bay. Graphics are friggin awesome. Load times are quick. Gun likes to freeze randomly, but NBA 2k6 and Madden 06 rule; no bugs.

I would never pay that much for a gaming system. To me it's just way too much for something unimportant. It'll only be really fun for me for the first month and then it'll be used less and less and less and then not at all...haha. How much are they from Best Buy? $500?

From reading, it sounds like the PS3 is going to be better anyway, so I'll probably pick one of those up when they come out. I haven't had a gaming system since the original PS. So it'll be nice to get something more current, and take it when I am traveling for work to keep me occupied.

I just picked up a new PS2 today. I want the PS3 when it comes out but I want to get online with my buddies and play for the time being. I should've hit this board up for used ones, seems everyone has one laying around they don't use anymore. Anybody have a slim PS2 for sale?

A little off topic, but interesting anyway:
My 14-yr old brother waited in line overnight at Best Buy to get one that he was going to sell on eBay. When he got in line and was offered the Extended Warranty, he said "I don't need it, I'll be selling it on eBay right away anyway." The manager on duty had a fucking spaz and yelled at everyone else in line that they were losing money on these systems, and everyone NEEDED to buy something else. Needless to say, the AV Best Buy is coming to terms with that now legally with my parents. What a dumbass.

Did Best Buy sell to him? My current manager at Sprint used to be a BB manager, and overheard some kids talking about selling a PS2 on eBay (this was the first day of release) and took the PS2 away from him. "We don't sell to dealers."

I think that is legal. Something about having the right to refuse to sell to any person, and limit quantities.

But I think forcing them to buy additional stuff qualifies as a bait and switch because to get a $400 xbox360, you have to buy $500 worth of stuff.

Hmm...I might buy like 3 PS3's and sell them on ebay for about a grand. I could make some extra cash buying and selling game systems...haha. I bet people will be waiting in line for the PS3 and then selling it online for twice as much. If I knew how badly people wanted it I would've done that also..haha.
