bla blah blah ill believe it when i see if with my own eyes....

They've been talking about this for a few months now, and the date of arrival has always been sometime in January. Like santa said... The proof is in the pudding.

I used to go there quite a bit back in the summer time. Usually when these guys put their word on something, they back it up. At least from what I've seen.

Even if they get an AWD dyno I will still take my car to Elite and have Shane tune it.

Same here. I'm not trusting the car to anyone but Shane. And I'd only dyno at Elite even though I'd have to dyno fwd.

AJ 12-27-2003 12:12 PM

They are getting one. Picked it up at SEMA if I remember correctly. It will be a a great thing for the WRXs, 3S's, and the AT DSMs, plus a few more I am thinking.

I think it will be great to get a dyno like that in MN now, but I also agree with going to Shane for tuning. Just look what they did at the last Dyno Fest.

Raptor 12-27-2003 12:35 PM

Maybe Shane is portable for the guys who don't have the easy conversion to 2wd ;) I am sure they would allow a different tuner as long as the dyno time was covered. There is that whole conflict of interest thing that may cause a problem, but a couple properly ordered burritos and you might have that covered. J/K :stick:

Nash 12-27-2003 04:18 PM

It is a great thing for the people who can't, or don't want to, convert their car to 2wd. But until I hear something good things about it I'll just convert my car and bring it up to Elite.

Goat Blower 12-27-2003 04:30 PM

Yay, a Mustang dyno.

Why not a DSM dyno?

I kid! :dsmrule:

Jakey 12-27-2003 09:46 PM

I guess investing in dynos must be looking good, a shop by the name of Zenke Sales & Service down by Winona, in a little BFE town called Nodine, is advertising that their new dynojet dyno arrived recently.

xrtdac 12-28-2003 07:44 PM

FYI. Ron from there had me tune his CRX over at Elite. I dunno who will be tuning cars over there but all I know is that they paid me to tune one of them.

niterydr 12-29-2003 08:50 AM

I will say nothing about tuning in this thead... :censored:
...everyone has there own opinions.
its just nice that a awd dyno will finally make it to the market.

RS14 01-26-2004 10:14 PM

What exactly did you do to Ron's car that made a big difference on horse power, other than playing with the VAFC for seven runs. I was there, and I remember Ron going under the hood to tune the cam gears to actually see 11 horses total on the last two runs. He probably would have seen more tuning it himself. But you wasted runs after runs playing with the fuel curve that didn't really help.

RS14 01-26-2004 10:46 PM

with that said, I'm in need of a turbo for 96 gsx. do you guys at elite have any decent ones?

You might want to add more information as to what you're looking for (stock, bigger, how big, what you want out of the turbo, etc...).

JET 01-26-2004 10:59 PM

And what the hell do you know? What a tool, you come on here and the first thing you do is try to tell one of the best DSM tuners in town that he doesn't know what he is doing?

It wasn't me on the dyno, it was Tyler...

We don't have any stock turbos laying around Elite currently.
