Another reason why we would rather have no spectators. The best thing is to have them as workers so they are educated on where to stand.

Why do you think SCCA shitcanned the Pro Rally program last year. Too high of insurance because of that same thing.

No that guy did not die but he was messed up pretty good. If memory serves me that took place in australia or new zealand. I will see if I can dig up info on it again. The video is 2 or 3 years old.

Thats messed up. It is hard to believe though that he lived through that. That car was going fast and he flew in the air.

Unfortunately it's not only rally spectators. If they didn't have guard fences up at NASCAR events, there would fans all over the place. It's like they say, "A person is smart, people are irrational thoughtless human beings." It usually takes a crowd to get someone hurt.

As far as not getting killed, think about the officer that got hit AND run over by the out of control truck on 35E and lived with only minor injuries.

it looks like he took he impact well. Most of the energy went from the legs out and his side took the most damage.

which is the best case scenerio.

i'd put money on two broken legs and one shattered knee cap.
