AIM F'd Up My Comp!
I was sent a link by a kid I talk to and I clicked on it and it totally fucked up my computer. It started sending the same thing that was sent to me to everyone on my buddy list. For those who it was sent to... Sorry I had no control over it. I tried reinstalling AIM but it still kept doing it. Im not really sure what kind of software I have for protecting so I cant really deal with it. But if someone even if you know them sends you a link that says... see (and a hyperlink) DO NOT CLICK ON IT! once again sorry to any of you that it was sent to and you may or may not have clicked on it but I was a dumb ass and I did. If anyone has an Idea on how to get rid of it let me know!

Here's a fix: Format, and never use AIM, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo, etc. again.

Re: AIM F'd Up My Comp!
I had that happen. I cleaned up my computer pretty well after that, but I dont think it did/was trying to do anything other than spam my buddy list.

Re: AIM F'd Up My Comp!
It says "Check out these cool pics" and then gives a link. It usually sends 2 messages at once, thats how I knew it was a virus. Just dont click it or your computer gets FUBAR by a file called "Project1"
This just happened on my brothers computer. Just reformat and your good to go. |
Re: AIM F'd Up My Comp!
Yeah, I almost opened the file when you sent it to me. Then I asked you what it was and got no response, so I didn't open it. Whew!!

"Project1"?!
Son-of-a-Bitch! I've gotten like five or six from school so far:) |
Re: AIM F'd Up My Comp!
or you ctrl-alt-del and look at the process's, look for that one they speak of, like project1 or whatever, the more you do this, the more you realize the ones that dont belong on that list, goto find file, type that file in there, search, whilst its searching, go ahead and shut down that process, then delete that file once search is done...
