Favorite Authors and Books

I'm just curious to see who people enjoy reading the most?

My favorites are Bently Little, Dan Brown, JK Rowlings, and a few others I can think of. I enjoy suspense/horror type books. I have never read any Stephen King books, but I've been told Bently Little is along those lines.

I've also started reading a book Andy gave me by John Sandford, called The Empress File. I'm only to Chapter 5, but it's awesome!! I believe it's book one, out of a small series.

Anyway, what does everyone else enjoy reading??

Seems like every time I start reading books from a new author he becomes my favorite. Right now it's Robert B Parker, the Spencer novels. Some of my other favorites are John Sanford, Michael Connelly, and Willam Kent Kruger.

I have never made it through an entire book heh.

My dad read me a book when I was younger. It was called like "the 7th power" or something along those lines. I guess I really liked that book. He still has it I think. I will try and find the legit title / author.

John Grisham, Dan Brown (His books got me into reading), Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and some other authors. I enjoyed some of the Tom Clancy stuff even though it seemed slower then some of the others. There are also some other "law" people that I like, cant think of names though. If you cant tell I like justice system, horror, and suspense books.

I just read a book not too long ago that was AWESOME, I don't know who it is by but the book is called "Cut and Run". I highly recommend the book if you like suspense books, its quite similar to the Dan Brown style.

I like Clancy books to but they are a little bit to slow for me also. A couple more authors I like are Steve Hamilton, Stephen Coonts, Robert Jordan, and Terry Goodkind. I could go on for ever naming authors I like. I should really go through all my books and make a list of all the books that I have.

I just finished reading The Empress File (John Sandford). It was an excellent book, and I highly recommend it. It is a great start to a small series about con artists. :)

I actually just finished my first book. "The Return" by Bently Little. I have never been into reading much but finishing this book was enjoyable. I'd recomend it to anyone.

Now I am starting a book by Greg Bear called "Dead Lines".

Steven Jay Gould, Michio Kaku, Stephen Hawking, Richard Dawkins and Carl Sagan.

Steven Jay Gould - "Wonderful Life", "Full House", and "A Dinosaur In A Haystack"(Mostly on Darwinian Evolution)

Richard Dawkins - "The Selfish Gene", "A Devil's Champlain", and "Unweaving The Rainbow"(Mostly philosophical views on biological systems)

Jared Diamond - "Guns, Germs, Steel", "Collapse", and "The Third Chimpanzee"(Mostly about the evolution and collapse of various societies)

Carl Sagan - "The Dragons Of Eden", "The Demon Haunted World", "Shadows Of Forgotten Ancestors", and "Billions And Billions"(About Evolution, critical thinking, scientific method, etc)

Michael Talbot - "The Holographic Universe"(This is kind of a alternate view on everything based upon theory from David Bohm and Karl Pribram, I've read this book an easy 50-60 times, it's probably the most thought provoking book ever written)

Kenneth R. Miller - "Finding Darwins God"(about the Creation/Evolution argument with a christian bias, It's an excellent book regardless of which side you are on)
