bolt on fuel filter wont come off
 

alrite, so i bought a oem fuel filter the other day and was trying to install it. but i cant even make the bolt on top of the old fuel filter off. im afraid i might break something. i can see the old fuel filter just bending slightly. wut should i do? i tried removing the bolt when it was in the engine bay. should i dismount the fuel filter and go on from there?
