knock sensor
 

I'm in the middle of replacing the knock sensor on my '95 tsi. Question is, the new knock sensor I picked up has a spot for a plug in on it. The knock sensor on the car just has from how it looks the wires running directly into the back of it. Before I decided to cut the wires and figure it out later, I wanted to ask if that is what your supposed to do or, if I got the wrong "new" knock sensor. Any help will be great.

That is the wrong knock sensor. It should have the wires coming out of it.
