OK ive been thinking about this for a while
I dont believe they cannot be for the reasons below: Our cars were never sold in any other countries, so they were never imported our cars dont have JDM parts Our cars were built here (normal, IL) Our cars are 71% american 20% japanese (at least my 99 GSX) See Below Pic So would we be considered one of the domestics? http://home.comcast.net/~tpunx0/wsb/...6/site1091.JPG |
Not unless ya put a Cheby tree-fifty in her, yeehaw!
|
does elite do that? LOL
|
Yeah, but the engine is all Japanese, so its an import. I'd be more inclined to call the Eclipse RS and GS domestic since they have the Neon engine in them.
These days most cars have parts in them for all over the place. Should we call some of the GM cars made in Canada imports?? ;) later, Curt |
These days it's all based on the "name plate" and Mitsubishi is an import.
Toyotas, Hondas, etc are all built in the USA also. |
So if I imported a JDM Toyota Cavelier, would it be considered a domestic, or an import... LOL :D
JDM yo. http://members.shaw.ca/toyota_cavali...es/car0701.jpg |
