Recommendations for getting bumpers repainted

I need to get both bumper covers repainted on a '97 Eclipse. What I am looking for is decent work at a fair price. What I'm not looking for is a million dollar paint job. I just want them to look nice and shine like the rest of the car. If you know of someone who does decent work and doesn't charge an arm and a leg let me know.

Also, if you do painting on the side and can guarantee your work let me know as well. I'm looking to get this done within the next two weeks.

You might want to let people know the condition of the bumper covers. If there are a lot of scraches and imperfections, it is a lot more work than if you had some with a perfect paint job already.

One was resprayed over the original paint without any apparent prep work, and now that is peeling off. The other was swiped in a parking lot so it has a scuff on it, but didn't see any physical blemishes other than the paint itself.

hit up Certifit in Verdania Heights or whatever. It will cost a lil more than you want to spend fixing those bumpers. I saw them already, they are a bit rough. The one bumper thats flaking, all of the paint needs to come off or it will just flake again later.

The other bumper could probably be fixed with some plastic shit. I forget what its called.

if you gave Maaco 2 bumpers that were already sanded down and scuffed, the paint job will come out fine.

Maaco does a pretty decent job at painting for a fair price aslong as you don't buy their cheap $189 service. Otherwise, just go to a local bodyshop and get some estimates.

Sand paper.. If a person didn't want to do that, bumpers dont really cost that much if you go to a place like certifit.

2 bumpers off the car, Macco. Sand them down yourself and bring them in. Cheap and Good. A full car, no. The bumpers? Hell yeah.

That's just it, I have nowhere to sand them, nor do I know to what condition they need to be sanded.

Have you asked Mark(tkr) to see if it is something he may be interested in doing at school?

Sand THROUGH the clear at the very least. On the bumper that is peeling, sand it down to the plastic or whatever the bumper is made out of. Or just buy a new one. They don't cost too much.

its a sticky plastic compound that obsorbs into the cracks and seals off anything. Common issues is, its alot more difficult to sand down, therefore people tend to scratch the SHIT out of the bumper in the surounding area.
